A first-of-its-kind conference in Camões studies
For the better part of five centuries, Luís Vaz de Camões’ maritime epic has shaped poetics, politics, and notions of identity in the Lusophone world and beyond. Now, on the eve of a major anniversary, we’re calling on scholars and artists from around the globe to unpack that charged legacy, with extensive virtual and in-person conference programming.
For prospective presenters
We invite scholars of all stripes to submit abstracts; readings that challenge the canon are especially encouraged.
